Virtual Valley
Virtual Valley is an exciting project funded by Historic England which seeks to take key sites across the Valley and make them available online in a way you’ve never seen them before. Our partner, Christians Survey and Inspection Solutions, are capturing 9 of Rossendale’s most important historic sites. We will publish these online and explore how else we can use this data.
This will provide visual records for archival and research purposes, but can also be used to support studies into their condition, repair, and future re-use and sustainability. The sites we’re capturing for the project are: St Saviour’s Church, Christ Church , Waterbarn Chapel, Rawtenstall Liberal Club, Bacup’s Regal Cinema, Stubbylee Hall, Cowpe Sunday School, and Lee Quarry.
