Stubbylee Hall
Valley Heritage are working in partnership with Rossendale Borough Council and the Stubbylee Stakeholder group, exploring options to help get the most out of Stubbylee Hall. With £48,700 funding from the National Lottery Heritage fund, we’ve been able to carry out feasibility works, and assess the condition of the buildings on site.
The Hall is a complex site with a complex history, so we’ve brought in expert consultants to help, including an ecologist, a business planner, an architect, and even a legal team to unravel a restrictive covenant on the building.
We’ve been able to conduct some cool activities with the support and expertise of some of our collaborators, including bat walks with the ecologist around the wider park, and an introduction to archiving and storage of archive material by Lancashire Museum Service
