St John the Evangelist, Crawshawbooth
With funding from Historic England, we’re working with the Manchester Diocese to establish the costs of repair and refurbishment at St John’s Crawshawbooth. It’s a long road ahead for this beautiful building, so in the meantime we’re looking into temporary uses for the church and its setting, being careful to consider costs and the safety of the community.
We’re hopeful that the work produced as part of this project will support the Manchester Diocese, the Churches Conservation Trust, and any potential future owner of the building to better understand the challenges it faces, and how they might be overcome.
