Rachael is a chartered Landscape Architect and member of the Landscape Institute with 13 years’ experience working in the community and voluntary sector. Her varied background includes working on housing market renewal schemes, delivering play, sport and recreation facilities; working to improve locally important monuments/features and on developing the footpath and bridleway network.
Rachael currently works in Rossendale for a Community Interest Company as Senior Landscape Architect. The company has a focus on community led projects throughout the North West. The work involves working alongside grant funders, local authorities, housing associations and the community to fundraise, design, consult, tender and deliver community projects on the ground. Rachael has worked with a wide range of grant funders in order to deliver projects of community benefit and is familiar with requirements that accompany these grant programmes.
In her spare time, Rachael is Secretary of Newchurch Village Association; a group committed to caring for, protecting and promoting activities in the historic village of Newchurch.
